Ingredients

Serves : 10
  • 1 kilogram Raw mangoes


  • 2 tablespoons salt


  • 20 gram heeng


  • 2 tablespoons red pepper ppwder


  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Directions

  • Wash and peel the mangoes
  • Chopped small pieces
  • Add salt and keep in a pot for atleast 4 to 5 hours
  • Now squeeze well and spread on a muslin cloth for drying in strong sunlight of 2 days
  • Don't throw the liquid which is obtained by squeezing the mangoes
  • Now after drying again place these mango pieces in this liquid
  • Add pepper powder ,heeng and sugar
  • Mix well
  • Now fill in an airtight jar
  • Keep this jar in sunlight for 2 to 3 days
  • After 15 days pickle is ready to eat
  • This pickle can be kept for many years
  • Precaution is no touching of wet hands or spoon
